Here in the wee hours of the morning I've added some old and new photos.
Last weekend I was moved by the the cacophony of outdoor sounds as I was working in my garden. I was absorbed in tending one rose plant at a time, giving each the attention it needed when I was stilled by the call of the sky filled with light and music. There were the songs of birds and crickets and frogs and distant engines of all sorts. Weed-whippers, chainsaws, motorcycles and cars all proclaimed their power with just perceptible whines and roars echoing up from the valley floor. And in counterpoint there was the continual communion of dogs barking and whelping and proclaiming their territory across the fields and vines, grasslands and woodlands of the mountain.
Awakened, I could hear the perfect symphony crowned by the careful sounding of the Zendo's temple bell.
When I listen the blessings are everywhere.
When I am grateful I join the music.
Ah, wonder of wonders.
